Wish List
Many people ask if there are items that Tallahassee-Leon Community Animal Service Center needs to help the homeless dogs and cats that it shelters and to carry out its educational programs in the community. There are many ways you can help, including the following donations:
- Pop-top or pullback canned kitten and puppy food
- Kitten Formula (such as KMR) and puppy formula (such as Esbilac) for nursing kittens & puppies that come to the Center without moms
- Empty shoeboxes for cats to nest in or to use as litter boxes
- Used baby receiving blankets, baby comforters, and baby neck supporters
- Rolls of paper towels
- Dog Houses
- Plastic laundry baskets
- Old kitchen or bath towels
- Old cloth bath mats or small, washable throw rugs
- Beach towels (good for bedding in dog kennels)
- Toilet seat lid covers (cats like to nest in these)
- Canned or dry pet food
- Clay cat litter (sorry, unable to use scoop-able litter)
- Stainless Steel Litter Pans (2" half steam table pans work great)
- Bleach
- Plastic shower curtain rings and other washable cat toys
- Standard-size pillowcases
- Pet shampoo
- Pet leashes & collars (new or used)
- Pigs' ears for dogs
- Hard-rubber toys for dogs
- Medium-size, WASHABLE stuffed animal toys
- Empty ink cartridges for our "cash for Critters" program (recycled cartridges provide us with money for spay/neuter surgeries and medical treatments)
- Medical and surgical supplies and equipment (sorry, unable to accept expired products)
AND, PLEASE SPAY OR NEUTER YOUR PETS! There is a nationwide pet overpopulation problem. There are too few homes for the number of available pets.
