City of Tallahassee Cultural Plan
The City of Tallahassee has launched a community cultural plan. Volunteers and planners have reviewed community plans and studies, conducted interviews and focus groups, and met in task forces to develop long-range goals and recommended actions. An Advisory Committee of 20 community leaders co-chaired by Marjorie Turnbull and Janet Hinkle oversees the cultural plan. The plan is facilitated by Craig Dreeszen and Gay Drennon and administered by the City's Economic Development Department.
Purpose: The Tallahassee Cultural Plan identifies community needs, defines goals, and recommends funding and actions that will strengthen the city's arts, culture, and heritage to enhance our region's quality of life and economic development.
