City of Tallahassee Recognized by the Public Technology Institute as an Innovation Lab
The City of Tallahassee is a member of the Public Technology Institute (PTI), a national, non-profit technology research and development organization created by and for cities and counties. PTI member cities and counties are at the forefront when it comes to using technology to meet the unique needs of local government. Documenting the results of technology initiatives and sharing this knowledge and expertise with other local governments can provide a valuable resource to the government community.
To share these experiences in a national, formal structure, PTI created the Innovation Lab program. Similar to a "mark of excellence," a local government is recognized as an Innovation Lab for the proven, successful deployment of a technology solution or practice.
The City of Tallahassee has been named an Innovation Lab for the "Public Safety Systems Integration Project."
As an Innovation Lab, the City of Tallahassee has created this web page to share information and serve as a resource for other local government officials.
