Economic Development
Economic Development in the City of Tallahassee is the Mayor's number one priority. The Mayor and City Commission are working diligently to encourage, foster and facilitate appropriate economic development efforts for our community.
The Capital Regional Partnership for Economic Growth
As a first step in the Mayor's economic development efforts, the Economic Development Summit was organized and held on May 8, 2003. The purpose was to bring key community stakeholders together to forge a collaborative economic development agenda for the region. The group later expanded to include other regional partners and was renamed the Capital Regional Partnership for Economic Growth (CRPEG). Six task forces were developed from this first summit and continuous efforts have been made in each of the task force areas since.
