Crafts Classes

A participant sewing a quiltCapital City Wood Carvers
Monday, 7:00 - 9:00pm

New and experienced wood carvers are welcome. Bring a sharp knife, sandpaper and pencil with eraser. New members always welcome. $20 annually; fee pro-rated.

Ceramics
Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 9:00 - 11:30am
Volunteers coordinate activity for individuals interested in using molds, firing and painting ceramic pieces. Anyone can join anytime. Must buy piece and paints. Firing $1 and $1 donation.

Crafting Bee
Monday, 9:00 - 12:00n
Informal group enjoys all types of crafts. Anyone, with or without experience, is welcome. Suggested donation: $1.

Model Ship Building
Friday, 1:00 - 4:00pm
Participants bring their own supplies and projects to work together in this informal setting. Suggested donation: $2.

Wednesday, 9:00am - 12:00n
This informal group learns all types of crafts, including cross stitch, crochet and other projects, depending on available materials. Anyone is welcome, with or without expertise in a craft. Suggested donation: $1.

Quilting
Monday, 12:00n - 4:00pm
Join other quilters and work at your own pace. Participants bring their own materials or use donated materials. Suggested donation: $1.

Tole and Folk Painting
Friday, 9:00am - 12:00n
Form of folk art painting using specific strokes and techniques; students paint on wood, fabric, gourds, metal, and other surfaces. $8 per class; pay monthly.
