Outings- As scheduled
Learn about the outdoors and participate in adventurous activities. Group meetings may include a guest speaker, sharing ideas and planning trips. Costs and physical level of the outings vary. New participants always welcome. See Golden Review or daily calendar for upcoming meetings and outings. Suggested donation: $2 per meeting.

Billiards
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 7:00pm

Billiards is available for participants of all skill levels. Drop in to spend time with friends or meet new acquaintances. Suggested donation $2.

Canasta

All skill levels welcome. Lessons given, if needed. Suggested donation: $2.

Senior Singers - A partnership with Florida State University School of Music

Tuesday, 1:00 - 2:00pm

The choir warmly encourages anyone who wants to sing to join. Requirements include a desire to have fun; no prior musical training or experience is necessary. No auditions. Suggested donation: $2.

Table Tennis
Tuesday, 2:00 - 4:00pm and Thursday, 2:15 pm - 3:45pm

Casual, informal games. New players welcome. No pre-registration required. Suggested donation: $2.

Ballroom-Swing Dance Lessons
Friday, 5:30 - 7:00pm

Learn the fox trot, swing, tango, waltz and cha cha. No partners needed. Come, meet people, and have fun! Pauline Hurst instructor. Suggested donation: $2.

Capital Round Dance Class
Tuesday 6:00 - 9:30pm

This workshop teaches experienced dancers Phases III - V as well as foxtrot, waltz, rumba, cha cha, jive and more. New dancers always welcome from 6 - 7:30pm; advanced dancers, 7:30 - 9:30pm. Suggested donation: $5 per couple.

Ballroom dancersCapital Twirlers
1st, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Monday, 7:00 - 9:30pm

Mainstream and Plus Level Square Dancing. Monthly dues $12.50 per person. Visitors always welcome. Visitor donation: $5. Level adjusted to fit dancers' skills.

Contra Dance (Tallahassee Community Friends of Old Time Dance)
2nd Friday, 7:30 - 10:30pm (see www.tallydancer.com for schedule)

This family activity involves live music (Irish jigs, fiddle, guitar, flute) performed by a string band and a caller. Moves are similar to square dance. Caller teaches each dance before music begins. Dancing is easy, fun, and energetic. No partner or experience necessary. Wear comfortable shoes and clothes. $7 adults; $5 seniors and students; $3 for dancing kids.

Dancing for Fun Group
Friday, 2:00 - 4:00pm

Informal social dancing to all forms of couple dances. New dancers always welcome, no partner needed. Suggested donation: $2.

Line Dance Classes
Monday, 5:15 - 6:15pm (Beginner) and Thursday, 1:00 - 2:00pm

No partner needed. New participants always welcome. $4 for Monday, and $2 for Thursday.

4th Friday, 7:00 - 10:00pm as scheduled

A variety of music provided for people to dance typical ballroom dances, as well as country, Latin, West Coast Swing and more. $5 seniors; $7 others.

USA Dance Association
3rd Saturday, 7:30 - 10:30pm
Dance Lessons, 6:30 pm

This local chapter of the national organization promotes ballroom dancing to either a DJ or live band. Dances are alcohol and smoke-free and include refreshments. DJ dances, $8 for USA Dance Association members; $12 for non-members. Live band dances, $10 for USA Dance Association members; $15 for non-members. Pay or join at the door. Social Bridge: These two bridge groups are small, socially oriented groups and are always looking for new experienced players. Suggested donation: $1 per session.

Bridge-A-Dears

Early Bird Bridge
Friday, 9:00pm - 12:00n

Duplicate Bridge Clubs: These games are for competitive bridge players. Games are played under the auspices of the American Contract Bridge League. A director runs the games in which two or more hands are played per round. At the end of the game, a computer prints out the results of how players did compared to other players, and computes the points won. These games are open to all players for a nominal fee to cover expenses. Interested players are invited to join the fun.

Standby partners present on Monday. Novice bridge is for the bridge player with 0-199 Master Points. Each session has a 15-minute mini-lesson then two hours of play.
