Helping Hands Service
The City of Tallahassee Solid Waste Services is committed to our customers with special needs and offers courtesy backdoor collection of garbage and recycling for residents who are physically unable to roll their containers to the curb for service. For our customers who live in a single-family home or town home, our Helping Hands Service provides weekly garbage and recycling pickup at the "backdoor" at no extra charge.
To apply for enrollment for the Helping Hands service, please complete the Helping Hands Enrollment Form (PDF). This form can be filled out on a computer and printed or you may print and fill out by hand. Sign your completed form and return it by mail or fax to the address or FAX number below.
Your enrollment in the Helping Hands Program will be finalized based upon the results of an in-home eligibility determination. Your application for this program provides consent for a City representative to visit your home to determine your eligibility for this program. You will be contacted to schedule an assessment appointment at your convenience.
